Qwell, an online counselling service for adults who live in North West London is closing on Sunday 31 March. Ahead of the closure, no new registrations will be possible on the Qwell website from Friday 1 March 2024.
Qwell is provided by a company called Kooth who will continue to offer online support for young people (aged up to 25 years) with access to free, safe and anonymous support through an online mental health community.
CNWL has worked in partnership with Kooth since Summer 2021. By working closely with existing mental health services, Kooth complements the service offer across North West London, signposting to children’s services such as GPs and Children’s and Adolescent Mental Health services when needed.
There are also alternative support services that patients can be signposted to, depending on their need.
People experiencing difficulties with anxiety and depression can still get support face to face or in an online appointment from the Trust’s Talking Therapies Services through their website here. These therapies are supported by evidence and delivered by Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners or Psychological Therapists. To refer yourself to Talking Therapies, you can complete a self-referral form.
If someone needs urgent mental health attention, they should contact the Single Point of Access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CNWL’s SPA is here.
