Jane Young, CNWL's Bladder and Bowel Nurse Consultant has written about assessment and management of faecal incontinence for the Journal of Community Nursing (JCN). 

In the research paper, she explores the causes and treatments of faecal incontinence, as well as the barriers that can lead to sub-standard management of the condition.

It reads: "The stigma of faecal incontinence needs to be replaced with well researched treatment options delivered with compassion, empathy and respect."
