Everyone deserves to live their life to the fullest, so if you’re struggling, the NHS is here to help.
Often people can say “I’m ok” or “I’ll get over it” but actually need a place to talk through their feelings or cope with a life event - that’s where Talking therapies can help.
Talking Therapies is a free, confidential NHS service which provides psychological therapies for depression and anxiety.
You can self-refer or see the GP for a referral. As soon as you are able to, complete the self-referral form, because then your part is done and the rest is up to us.
To fill out the self-refer form or find out more about Talking therapies, click the link below:

The NHS is working as hard as we can to see people as quickly as possible and we hope to see you within two weeks (it can sometimes be up to 4 to 6 weeks depending on the therapy you need) by a therapist; after the initial assessment.
If you’ve not been in therapy before or unsure how Talking Therapies can help, in Brent we have Community Connectors who support residents to understand NHS mental health services and how they can help you or a loved one.
Get in touch with your local Brent Community Connector team by email or phone:

(Email and phone number monitored 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).
If English is an additional language for you, we have translators who can support you through therapy, just ask us you’ll need a translator and we can provide one. Make a referral through your GP if you need a translator to support you making a referral.
