CNWL is pleased to announce a new staff appointment within our central London services.
Selena Cox, who was previously Deputy Head of Urgent Care, has now been appointed to Urgent and EC Associate Director position based on a 6 month secondment. Selena has been a part of CNWL for over 25 years, and is delighted to take on this new position.
“I qualified from Thames Valley University in 1996 and have worked in CNWL ever since, starting as a staff nurse on Shore Ward at Park Royal - progressing to Ward Manager, then managing the Crisis Team in Brent, and latterly setting up the Single Point of Access, before becoming Deputy Head of Urgent Care. I am passionate about mental health crisis care and developing services to give the best experience we can to our patients and service users.”
I have remained in CNWL because I have had many opportunities for development and to get involved in interesting projects – recently I completely the 21CLP programme and very much look forward to embedding the principles of compassionate leadership into Urgent Care. I live in South London with my husband, 2 sons (although one is at University in Leeds) and 2 wayward cats. I love going to the cinema, playing chess and cooking. I am really excited about this new challenge and continuing the development of Urgent Care” Selena said.
Sabrina Phillips (Managing Director, Jameson Division), Kim Cox (Director of Nursing, Jameson Division) and Gareth Jarvis (Medical Director, Jameson Division) of CNWL, say: “We are pleased to have Selena as our new UEC Associate Director. We’re excited for the skills and experience Selena will bring to this role”.
Welcome Selena!
