CNWL is pleased to announce a number of staff appointments in our central London services.

Lee Byers is now the new Borough Director of Kensington and Chelsea. Since summer 2022, Lee was our Associate Service Director of Urgent Care but he also has experience as a Lead Nurse for CNWL’s Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit Pathway and as a Matron at St Charles Hospital.

Lee will be taking over from Kingsley Akuffo who has been appointed as the Borough Director of Hillingdon Mental Health Directorate in the Goodall Division.

Elsewhere, Matthew Henshaw has been appointed as Borough Director for Brent. Matthew also acts as Director for Community and Acute Mental Health, Learning Disabilities Services and Neurodiversity. He also has previous experience as Deputy Director for Brent and Trust Lead for Neurodiversity.

Philippa Galligan, the Trust’s previous Borough Director for Brent, has left CNWL to become the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Sabrina Phillips, Managing Director for Jameson Division, says: “We are very excited for Lee and Matthew to bring their skills and knowledge to these roles!

I would also like to congratulate their predecessors on their exciting new roles and thank them for their years of contribution to Jameson Division and the Trust at large.

Finally, thank you to Mike Booker who has acted brilliantly as Interim Borough Director for Kensington and Chelsea during this transition period.”
