Aneeza Tallat, one of the Trust's Healthcare Support Workers (HCSW) has won an NHS England (London region) CNO Support Worker Excellence Award.
Aneeza is a Healthcare Support Worker based at Uxbridge Health Centre.
She was nominated by her colleague, Rachel Cummins for her dedication and commitment to looking after the physical health of our severely mentally ill patients in the community.
The nomination read:
“Aneeza is a highly valued member of our team who always displays complete dedication to her role. She carries out thorough annual physical health checks on our more severely mentally ill (SMI) patients in the community.
As well as educating and encouraging our patients to adopt healthier lifestyles, she always promptly escalates any concerns or worries about a patient’s health to the appropriate clinicians. After just a few months of Aneeza joining our team we became the highest performing service in offering annual physical health checks to SMI patients.
We are very fortunate, as a service, to have Aneeza. Nominating her for this award was my way of expressing my gratitude for all that she has done for our patients.”
Helen Willetts, Chief Nurse praised her win, and said: “Congratulations, this award is a lovely recognition of great quality work.”
William Sakala, Divisional Nursing Director said: “We are immensely proud of Aneeza for winning the CNO Support Worker Excellence award. Aneeza is hardworking and committed to delivering quality care for the patients she looks after, and this award is a recognition of this. Congratulations to Aneeza for this thoroughly deserved award.”
Aneeza is one out of 100 London winners of the award across various trusts in London and will attend a celebration event in October to receive her award.
Well done Aneeza!
