Tuesday 12 May 2020 is International Nurses’ Day, and although we cannot meet together to celebrate, we want to say thank you to all our nurses who are on the frontline leading our response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We have sent a thank you card to each and every one of our nurses and our wider nursing family which includes our healthcare assistants.

Nurses make a real difference, and that is more evident now, more possibly than ever before, in the midst of Covid-19. Indeed the symbol of the fightback has been nursing.
I thank all our nursing staff for their dedicated service, and also nurses across the country and beyond who selflessly work hard to keep us safe during these difficult times.”
The World Health Organization (WHO) made 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife, to celebrate Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday. This year the whole of society has looked up to nurses and applauded their dedication, commitment, professionalism and compassion.
