Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust is looking for members of the Trust to join our Council of Governors!
Our Governors are an important link between CNWL and the people we serve. Governors represent the interests of their communities and the public as a whole; helping us to learn, develop and continue to grow as a Trust. By using their networks and local ties, they can help us engage more effectively on priorities and decisions.
Being a Governor is a fantastic opportunity to influence healthcare across CNWL services. Our Council holds the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board of Directors and represent the interests of members and the public.
Anyone can become a Governor as we provide all the training and development you need. To be a successful Governor, you would need to:
- Commit to attending four formal meetings a year
- Prepare for meetings by reviewing reports and other materials
- Be able to engage with others to inform your contributions
- Support the Trust to seek feedback from members and the public
- Pose questions to Non-Executive Directors on the Trust's performance
- Be able to build relationships with staff and fellow Governors
You really can make a difference as a CNWL Governor!
This year, we will be holding elections for the following constituencies:
- Service users x 2 – representing the Boroughs of Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Ealing, Hounslow
- Service users x 2 – representing the Boroughs of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Camden, Enfield, the rest of the Greater London Authority and elsewhere
- Carers x 1 – representing carers across all Trust services
- Public x 6 – representing Harrow; Kensington & Chelsea; Ealing, Hounslow, Hammersmith & Fulham; Camden; Milton Keynes; Rest of England and Wales
- Staff x 1 – representing Nursing (including Healthcare Assistants)
- Staff x 1 – representing Allied Health Professionals
- Staff x 1 – representing “Other Staff”
Anyone who is a member of one of these constituencies is eligible to apply. If you are not yet a member, you can join here. Staff are automatically members of the Trust, unless they have chosen to opt out.
