Hillingdon Patient Engagement Team held vibrant and inclusive events at Mill House Community Mental Health Hub and Riverside Mental Health Centre for staff, carers, and patients.
The events were a celebration of queer culture and gender expression, with a range of engaging activities and resources.
They were joined by Sophie Newland, the manager of Hestia Coves, who shared valuable resources and networked with attendees.
A number of books from queer culture were laid out for attendees to explore, alongside an array of flags and posters with empowering messages about gender expression and HIV awareness.
The atmosphere was festive, with delicious cakes, colourful badges, and temporary tattoos adding to the fun.
These events received a lot of interest from patients and staff, including Experts by Experience, reception staff and many others.
Oscar Patton-Lyons, Advanced Lived Experience Practitioner said, “It was a fantastic opportunity for community building and raising awareness, and we look forward to hosting more in the future.”
