Helen Willetts, a former Director of Nursing for CNWL’s Diggory and Goodall Divisions, returns today as our Chief Nursing Officer. Helen replaces Maria O’Brien who is now the Chief Executive at West London NHS Trust.
Helen worked full-time for 37 years at the Trust and most recently during the Pandemic as a Director of Infection Prevention and Control.
In a message to staff, Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive, said
“Many of you will know Helen and hold great affection for her advice, good humour and sheer presence. Her efforts during the pandemic, when she was the Director of Infection, Prevention and Control were outstanding and were recognised by Dame Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer for England, when she was awarded the Silver medal for her major contributions to patients and the profession.
“Helen has dedicated a lot of her career to mentoring and coaching our next generation of nursing leaders and specialists, clearly something she will continue to do in her new role at the Trust.
I’m sure you will all join me in congratulating and welcoming back Helen to the team here at CNWL.”
